How is it held on ?
The technical term is suspension and archaically the terms for putting a limb on and off are "Donning" and "Doffing" as used in the context of caps. There are a number of methods but mine is helds on using a vaccuum system : So I put on a silicon rubber liner on my residual leg (I call it "Artie" as it is a "Rubber Thing") this has 5 concentic seals which effects the suspension with the socket.
Is It Comfortable?
The answer is No.. my prothretist always say wearing a prothetic is about being able to tolerate the discomfort. My original consultant equated it to wearing high heels .. not a partically useful analogy for me :-)
How Far Can You Walk?
Well how far can you walk?
The answer is that it depends...it varies from day to day - on good days I can walk 10 miles
What Can't You Do?
I guess people mean what can't I do now that I have a prosthetic leg - Walking up steps normally is the biggest one....

Always respond kindly to those who offer to help - remember that even if you don't need help at that moment you might need help at a later date or, if your response is not friendly, you not stop someone from helping someone else in future.
Wearing a prosthetic leg if not comfortable but should not be painful - if it is painful then go back to your Limb Fitting Centre.
I use a Iceross Seal-In X5 liner - I find that when I set out on a walk (i.e. walking continuously) for first ten to fifteen minutes the discomfort is significant and increases it then gets better ... I wonder if some people give up before this..(I refer to this as the "Fifeteen Minute Rule").
The Bathroom is your enemy you will be slippery when wet - be careful (I have the scars to prove this point :-( gained in a French hotel bathroom)
